Two half circles - with their huge 16 meter wingspan - move slowly through space, driven by powerful hydraulics. The red and blue bows leave their echo back under the reflective surface. Grand and Glorious. Inescapable fascinating.
People, technology and future. Those were the key words in the order that the municipality Eindhoven artist Gijs van Bon gave way. Not directly related to DAF. But of course, literally monumental; a tribute to all their DAF’ers contribution to the development of the town and region.
From the DAF Museum are both arches to serve the public and to bring. To any desired position From the museum seen form the arches a perfect circle that can decompose into two half circles, which are mirrored by the water surface are two full circles again.
